Types of FIBC Bags
Classification of Bulk Bags is according to one of four Types: A, B, C, and D. All these Types define the construction of the Bulk Bags, the intended use, and performance requirement criteria.
Type A: Made of plain woven polypropylene and with non-conductive properties. Used to transport non-flammable products.
Type B: Made of plain woven polypropylene and with non-conductive properties however, with a low breakdown voltage which does not generally exceed 6 kV. Used when there are no flammable solvents or gases present.
Type C: FIBCs or conductive FIBCs are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threads sewn in a grid pattern.
Type D: Widely known as Dissipative-bags and are made from a material which is antistatic in nature. It composes of antistatic and static dissipative threads.
